About Rick Amato

Rick Amato Ministries, or RAM, has been serving the Lord and His people
for over 26 years now. Over one million salvation decisions recorded over the
course of time. Now with God’s guidance, Amato is training pastors, churches,
evangelists, and others to do the same, claiming at least two million more will
be saved and know the true meaning of Grace and the message of Jesus and Him
Crucified.
Dr. Amato is
also founder and president of KidsCare, a multi-million dollar, non-profit
humanitarian and educational organization.
Dr. Amato and his teams have traveled extensively in Russia, China,
Cuba, and other post-socialist countries where he personally met with Presidents
Gorbachev and Yeltsin and conducted the first and one of the only Gospel
preaching crusades in the Kremlin. The President of the United States
has personally received a videotape of Rick Amato’s War On Addiction®
campaign. Dr. Amato and his wife, Nancy, are the parents of five (5) children
who were at one point all teenagers at the same time. His television
special for young people, The Preacher Dude, has aired on VH-1 and Fox
television networks.
Sportscaster James Brown, former Congressman Steve Largent, (as well
as the late Reggie White), and others are supporters of the War On
Addiction®. Dr. Amato has met many celebrities and world leaders like
Muhammad Ali, Whoopi Goldberg and Bryant Gumbel on his journey to share his
life-changing message with the world. More recently he presented it to newsman
Dan Rather and world-renowned artist Thomas Kinkade in private meetings.
Dr. Amato has traveled in 44 countries and in almost all 50 states.
He has spoken face-to-face to well over 1,000,000 elementary, junior high and
senior high school students in the last few years, including 630,000 in public,
secular lectures.
At one point, Dr. Art Rorheim, founder of Awana, named Dr. Amato
national and international chaplain of Awana. Dr. Amato served Awana and its
leadership for several years in this capacity.
With tensions escalating in the Middle East and transition afoot within the
final remaining communist nation in the Western Hemisphere, Dr. Amato’s
international outreach efforts have been at full force.
God used RAM recently to see the delivery of 100,000 Scriptures to
the island nation of Cuba. These Scriptures were Cuban designed and translated
and were also anonymous, with the first page simply saying, “A gift from your
Creator.” This is a FIRST in Cuban and American history!
With government sanctioning, Dr. Amato has already brought over ten
million dollars in medicine and surgical equipment into many nations, including
over five million to Cuba. The facilitation of American and Cuban doctors
working together to save the lives of sick children has birthed a movement of
its own.
Dr. Amato and the RAM team believe in spreading the love of grace
through the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. As the late
Baptist spokesman and preacher Jerry Falwell put it, “Rick Amato is not only
unusually talented, but supernaturally anointed by God.” Amato calls
himself, “a turtle on a fence post.” When asked why, Amato coyly
questions, “What do you know when you see a turtle on a fence post? Somebody
else put him there.”
